If your flight is heavily delayed, you are entitled to basic services and benefits in the airport (which can vary by your flight’s distance), including the following:

  • Food and beverage credit (usually with vouchers) for flights up to 1500km delayed two hours or more. You are also entitled to two free communications (phone calls, emails, and/or faxes).
  • Food and beverage credit (usually with vouchers) for flights between 1501km and 3500km which are delayed three hours or more. You are also entitled to two free communications (phone calls, emails, and/or faxes.
  • Food and beverage credit (usually with vouchers) for flights of more than 3500km which are delayed three hours or more. You are also entitled to two free communications (phone calls, emails, and/or faxes).
  • When a flight is delayed by five hours or more, you can cancel with no penalty. Reimbursement for alternative transportation to your destination is also at the expense of the airline,
  • When a flight is delayed until the next day, your hotel stay and transportation both to and from those accommodations are to be paid for by the airline. Before booking any accommodation, contact the airline directly to make these arrangements.
